Make a Difference!

Be a keen observer to the world we are living with. A great CHANGE, isn’t it?

From a well not civilized society, we are now trying to enter a hi-tech world through the inventions and discoveries of science of course. Nowadays the flow of the production of the products is from version to version as well as from low quality to new ones in the market.

The hindrance between before and now is the changes we’ve known as for now. In fact the right term must be metamorphosis or evolution of the science culture because it didn’t change for nothing or with out a basis. The old ones are just revived, improvised and adapt to better ones for the benefit of the society. Like in communication, it takes time before from different places to get in touch with others and it is through letter. It is somehow awkward right? It seems so hard to cope with such flow and I doubt if we can adjust ourselves to a very slow communication especially we are used to a convenient conversation which takes a seconds or minutes via e-mail through internet or chatting through cell phones. However the technologies mentioned above have a resemblance to the old type of communication, do you agree?

We must be thankful to the advancement of science to the things we have now yet these are still part of science culture. And it is also overwhelming to know how genius man is in adapting these for a better world.

Wikang Filipino, Mula Baler hanggang Buong Bansa

Our country is known to be an archipelago comprises of thousands of islands. Different ethnic groups and tribes live here with their respective dialects. Even though the distance seems to be the hindrance of the islands to act as one, we Filipinos find a way to overcome this dilemma. And we must be thankful to the late president Manuel L. Quezon who is the founder of our national language, Filipino. Through the language that he introduced from his place, Baler and spread out to whole nation, we were able to understand each other, see? It helps a lot in the communication. It tightens our bound and we unite as one body.

As an honor to the good deeds of the founder, our school and our country set that August is the “Buwan ng Wika”, different activities were conducted in relation to this. We keep on using, patronizing our very own language because it serves as our identity to the neighborhood countries. We must be proud and say
“I am a natural born Pilipino and it is a pleasure to use the language of my native land!!”

Speak English or Tagalog with kindness

One way to communicate with others or to able to understand by other is speaking. In speaking we use different dialects and languages.
It is the month of August and the school celebrate the what so called "Buwan ng Wika" in Tagalog. As an action to this event the president of Filipino and English club joined together to activate the campaign entitled" Speak to me in English or Tagalog with kindness." The campaign itself aims to convince and encourage the students to speak the said languages. It also suggest that it must be used all through out the conversation in the campus. It is for the students to be exposed in the usage of these languages. This idea leads to the production of the school of young fellows who can fluently and properly talk with others the languages with self esteem.
Although in mastering the two languages, it is not only the skill that is important to practice but the manner must also consider. Discipline and patience are very big factors. First the discipline, we can practice discipline for example, you need not to shout to the top of your voice the thing you want to tell to the person you are talking at in instances that s/he is just beside you.
It is improper to boast to the whole world that you know how to speak the languages. You must speak it with manner, tenderness and gentleness. Second one, patience, it is normal that you find difficulty in speaking the language at first, you might stammered or twist your tongue yet it is just fine for a beginner. Just keep in practicing to speak it, have a determination and soon you'll master it. As once I heard," Practice makes perfect!" which is true in any angle of reality.

All Abouts of the First Quarter

Learning develops one's personality. And school is responsible in nurturing the mind of the young fellows. Students go to the said institution to gather more knowledge, broaden their vocabulary, to be enlighten with their doubts, to discover and know more things.
This first quarter we tried both lecture and hands-on. In lecture, I learned about the inventors and founders of ARPANET, www, as well as the important dates and terms through our discussion of the history of internet. We also tackled the uses of internet, internet services and tools, its major cmponents, the data types, the history of weblog. As our teacher explained to us the advantages of blogs, I realized how important blogging is in expressing my comments and ideas wherein everybody can see it.
As we finished th electure, we proceed to hands-on and focused on the blog. In the blogging, I was asked to post atleast three features. And I did what our teacher instructed as to do so. I enjoyed this grading period and the learnings I discovered helps me a lot as a student.

Wastong Nutrsyon ang Kailangan, Lifestyle Disease ay Iwasan

As the saying goes this way, "Health is Wealth." To elaborate, health is precious and can be considered as one's asset. How true this saying is?
I strongly believe in the statement. What is the use of your money if you are unhealthy? None but just to spend the rest of it for your medication. If you are healthy enough, there is no hindrance in fulfilling your dreams and goals in life. A physically fit person can do a lot of things a sick one can't. He is not a weak type in performing his job, but a SOMEONE who has the energy, enthusiast, power, vigor and alertness.
It is important to maintain the good condition of the body. So in what way for us to attain a stable healthy body? Simple have a right nutrition! Practice eating a balanced diet, be a vegetarian. Avoid eating junk and street foods. Eat fruits which are rich in vitamins that strengthen our immune system so that we have a strong resistance and will not catch diseases easily. Drink plenty of water, exercise daily and avoid bad habits such as drinking alcohols and smoking.
This month of July, the school prepared several activities to celebrate the nutrition month, this includes nutrition quiz, oratorical contest, cook festival, food festival, nutri-jingle and others. Other objective of the activities is to develop the awareness of students regarding health and to motivate them to join, participate and show their hidden talents.
